IF one o more of them is missing the right value (an HASH value, the algorithm is unclear) the Launcher forces everytime the DxRedist install. Looking at the Windows system registry (browse HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Digital Extremes\Warframe\SteamLauncher) you can see a lot of entries ending with ".cab". Once the Dx redist fails, the launcher halts any operation. Solution Found for DirectX Update Failed Disclaimer: actually nothing new here, just adding a spotlight to the workaroundĪs like my original hypotesis, the Directx Update package that comes with warframe looks "damaged" and/or unable to complete the (most of times unnecessary) update.
